I do not accept insurance and instead use a sliding scale to ensure affordable options for clients. I can provide a clinical superbill after we complete the consultation process. Before beginning therapy, please check in with your insurance and ask them if you have "out of network [OON] benefits for a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
I do offer a deeper sliding scale than what is listed for a limited number of clients who are experiencing financial difficulties. Please inquire to learn more.

Any clients accepted into this program work with me to find a fee that is feasible for their financial situation. Anyone can be eligible for this program, however I extend my Pay What You Can services to all clients within the following populations: public school teachers, sex workers, non-profit employees, and/or families of LGBTQ+ youth. Please inquire if you are interested to learn more. Please be mindful that these spots are limited on my caseload and as such I am able to add clients to a waitlist if need be.

People have many different motivations for coming to therapy. Some may be going through a major life transition (unemployment, divorce, new job, etc.), or are not handling stressful circumstances well. Some people need assistance managing a range of other issues such as low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, anger management, relationship issues, spiritual conflicts and creative blocks. Therapy can help provide some much needed encouragement and help with skills to get them through these periods. Others may be at a point where they are ready to learn more about themselves or want to be more effective with their goals in life. In short, people seeking therapy are ready to meet the challenges in their lives and ready to make changes in their lives.
Knowing if therapy is right for you can take some time and some self-reflection. You can talk to your therapist if you have any concerns about your reaction to therapy. It is important to be open with your therapist and give honest feedback on your experience so that your therapist is aware and can help make things right or even refer you to different therapist who can give you the experience you are looking for.

Confidentiality is one of the most important components between a client and therapist. Successful therapy requires a high degree of trust with highly sensitive subject matter that is usually not discussed anywhere but the therapist’s office. I provide a written copy of a confidential disclosure agreement, and you can expect that what you discuss in session will not be shared with anyone. This is called “Informed Consent”. Sometimes, however, you may want me to share information or give an update to someone on your healthcare team (your Physician, Naturopath, Attorney), but by law I cannot release this information without obtaining your written permission.
Background & Experience
Hello! My name is Madison Hollis and I first began my journey as a Clinician getting my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Family Studies and Human Development from the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. It was there that I focused my studies on relationship and family dynamics. I published research about cohabitating couples and how emotional awareness influences overall relationship satisfaction. I was also part of a research team for a study concerning family dynamics, stress, and illness. By gaining this knowledge and experience, I actively incorporate and focus on close relationships and human connections while working with clients in Therapy. We have so much influence from our Family of Origin that can cause for difficulties in our adult life and I specialize in working through challenges associated with trauma, anxiety, depression, anger management, and life transitions. I have extensive knowledge in working with issues associated with LGBTQIA+ identity, non-monogamous relationships, and kink.
